Rossini Opera Festival
The main international opera event entirely dedicated to Gioachino Rossini
Despite the emergency Covid-19, from 8 to 20 August there will be the 41st edition of Rossini Opera Festival, the main international opera event entirely dedicated to Gioachino Rossini. The event will take place in the historical Rossini theatre and in the picturesque “Piazza del Popolo”, in accordance with all the safety standards necessary to protect the safety of the artists and public as much as possible.
The festival will open with a new production called “La cambiale di matrimonio” scheduled at Teatro Rossini on 8, 11, 13, 17 and 20 August. The orchestra will play in the stalls and the audience will attend the show from the stages.

“Palazzo Ducale”, a small fortified town commissioned by Federico da Montefeltro, now houses the National Gallery of Marche with works by Raffaello, Tiziano and Piero della Francesca.
Instead, located in the artisan district there is the Raffaello Sanzio’s house which houses some of the original works of the painter.
2-Gradara: In the castle of this Medieval village, took place the story of Paolo and Francesca, told by Dante. This medieval town is characterized by an almost surreal tranquillity and perfection.
3-Fiorenzuola di Focara: It is an ancient medieval village located in the heart of the San Bartolo park overlooking the sea, made of squares and narrow streets, where you can see portals dating back to 1600. From the village you can reach a beach with wonderful wild stretches.
4-Marmitte dei giganti: located in San Lazzaro are one of the most evocative natural phenomena of “Marche” that form beautiful canyons and waterfalls on the river “Metauro”.
5- San Bartolo Natural Park: It is a protected natural area characterized by numerous trails from which you can admire a breathtaking view. In the area between Castel di Mezzo and Baia Vallugola, there is a place called “Roof of the world” wich is a arrival point of one of the most characteristics paths of San Bartolo, where you can admire an unforgettable landscape.
